Like any other roleplay setting, VoF has guidelines in place to give everybody a clear picture of what is and is not allowed. The guidelines for Visions of Faerūn are as follows:

Visions of Faerun is a Role Playing storyline based on the Forgotten Realms AD&D campaign setting. Thus, all characters in this setting should be fantasy characters. Modern characters will not be allowed, nor will futuristic ones. Let's not have anyone running around slinging Uzi's, Light Sabers, or laser guns! While actual AD&D characters and dice rolling are welcomed, they are not a prerequisite for RP. No Canon characters. Epic characters require a host's approval.Pictures:
The Visions of Faerun storyline does have an "avatar reserve" in effect. If you want to reserve a particular model/actor/whatever for your character, contact the Host or Hostess to have their name added to The List. Pictures and the iconic figures within them will be on a first come, first served basis, unless both parties in question do not mind having a "twin." If arguments arise from this particular situation the Hosts and/or Moderators will have final say.In Character:
Combat is bound to happen. However, it is also bound to be accompanied by injury, or possibly death. If you don't want your character being injured or killed, avoid situations where this may happen. Godmoding will not be allowed unless all parties involved agree that this is the way to have fun. Swear at your own discretion, befitting your character and the situation (s)he is in. We're all mature enough to tolerate a bit of coarse language. However, don't go overboard just because you can.Along with the VoF-specific rules, players will be required to follow the general rules outlined on the Smoke & Mirrors home and splash pages.
