12/13/04 – Visions of Faerûn and the VoF Homepage have undergone a minor facelift. Most noticeable right off the bat will be the more visual changes to the layout – The old sidebar is gone, and in its place a spiffy new background has been added. Thanks to Reverend for his work on those.
Other changes involve some updating of the room’s rules, as follows;
Number 1: Iconic/Canon characters will no longer be allowed. Nobody was playing them anyway, so this shouldn’t really present much of a problem. Anybody who already had a Canon Handle is welcome to keep the puppet set up for goofing off or what-have-you – you just won’t be able to actually RP them anymore.
Number 2: The maximum picture size in the room has been reset from 350x350 to 400x400 pixels. Max file size is still 50kb.
Finally, you’ll notice that a “Maps” link has been added to the main page. Behind this link you’ll be able to find the map of Faerûn that was previously only accessible via VoF’s Comm Panel. Also, a map of the Underdark was added for anybody wishing to explore the Realms Below. Sections of the complete maps can be clicked to bring up a larger, detailed view of that particular area. Beware: The images are fairly large, so they may take a moment to load. We left them so big so that the details they provided would be clear and precise.

Please see updates to the room rules concerning Epic Level characters. The room rules can be viewed here or on the splash page. We would appreciate everyone co-operation concernng the matter of having Epic Level characters approved. After all, if there are too many ELC's, they cease to be epic at all. Remember, folks: Epic means something is bigger, better, and more memorable than somethine else. Thus, if there is too much of anything epic, then by association it ceases to be epic. We're just trying to maintain a happy role-play environment.

2/12/05 - Visions of Faerun has closed as an independent room. It can now be found as one of the official setting/storylines in Smoke & Mirrors, a new room on Warp1.net.
